Visual Art with Code: Introduction to Java Processing

Course Info

This course is designed for the creative minded. We will be introducing the relationship between simulation, number, aesthetic, art and nature. Within the context of the visual art, students will get to learn how to code in Processing, a Java-based, flexible software, widely used among designers and researchers. Constrained by colors, line and circle, each student will be guided to code their own one-of-a-kind poster and bring a hard-copy back home

Digital Making with Micro:bit

Course Info

Students will learn to program the Micro:bit which is a pocket-sized, fully programmable, single board computer with an array of useful features such as on-board accelerometer, compass sensors, Bluetooth, USB connectivity, an LED display and programmable buttons.

Virtual Reality with CoSpaces: Animate your own VR world

Course Info

In this course, students will build and animate advanced 3D spaces using the tool CoSpaces. We learn how to design more elaborate 3D environments, understand modeling and how it can be achieved using primitive shapes, as well as exploring and playing in the animated 3D space they created. We will focus on learning how to create interactions and movements in our worlds using blocks-based programming.

This course introduces students to one of the newest technologies - Virtual Reality (VR).
